Upon arrival at the NCCC all residents start their program with 7 days in Orientation where the resident is introduced to the program, given insight to the background and history of the NCCC and given a clear understanding of their journey going forward.
Program rules and regulations are discussed and explained in detail. Residents are required to participate in sharing of their life story and completing of a personal assessment sheet. Part of the orientation phase is to watch The Noupoort Story as well as a Christian motivation DVD of encouragement. They are then assessed by our social worker and a personal file is opened for each resident. The foundation of our program is the Lord Jesus Christ and it is here that many residents start their spiritual walk with Him.
New arrivals can expect to be encouraged, ministered to and uplifted by staff members assigned to orientation. They will then be lead to their next phase of the program which for male residents will be the Farm & for female residents will be the Kitchen.
